As one half of T4TB2B, Popper Cherry has built a strong community following in Belfast’s growing queer nightlife scene; guiding curious newcomers and dance-floor veterans alike through to memories that stick around long after the last track fades. She has brought her signature euphoria to the illustrious Ponyhawke and Shoot Your Shot; playing for legends across the isles such as Marion Hawkes, Bonzai Bonner and Angel D’Lite. Her sets become carefully constructed around one special emotion to remember the night by, whether that be a nostalgic dream, a burst of inspiration, or a trip through the psyche. Taking influence from video game scores and composers such as Shoji Meguro [Persona], Soichi Terada [Ape Escape] and Richard Jacques [Sonic R], Popper Cherry’s mixes are always familiar enough to feel like home, yet still surprising enough to spark a new obsession.
